Printing your site's check-in QR code
Every site in Breadcrumb has its own unique QR code. Workers and visitors scan it with the Breadcrumb app to check in to that site and complete their induction.
This guide shows you how to download and print your site QR code poster, how to show it from your phone when you don't have a printed copy handy, and how to replace it if you need to.
Before you start
You need Company Host or Site Host permissions. If you don't see the options below, ask your Breadcrumb administrator to update your access.
Download and print the QR code on web
- Go to Sites in the left-hand menu.
- Open the site you need the QR code for.
- Click Print Site QR Poster.
- A PDF downloads with your site QR code and check-in instructions for workers.
- Print the PDF and put it up on site.
Where to put it
- At the site entry. Place it where every worker and visitor passes before they start work, such as the site gate, site office door or sign-in point.
- At eye level and out of the weather. Laminate it or use a sign holder so it stays readable. A faded or damaged code won't scan.
- More than one entry? Print a copy for each entry point. The same code works at every location on that site.
Once it's up, scan it with your own phone to confirm it opens the right site in the Breadcrumb app.
Show the QR code from the mobile app
You can't print from the mobile app, but you can bring the code up on your screen so a worker or visitor can scan it from your phone.
- Open the Breadcrumb app and tap Host Panel in the bottom right.
- Select the site you're on and tap OK.
- Tap Show Site QR Code.
This is handy for a one-off arrival or if the printed . It's not a replacement for a printed code at the site entry.
Replace your site QR code
Use this when you want to retire old printed copies, or the original one has blown away.
- Open the site on web and go to Manage Site.
- Scroll to the Danger Zone section.
- Reissue the site QR code.
Once you reissue the code, the old one stops working. Remove the old QR code posters and put up the new one straight away so workers can still check in.
