How do I upgrade to v2.3.0 of the Procore integration?

Steps to move to the latest version of the Procore integration and what has changed.

Version 2.3.0 is the latest version of the Breadcrumb app for Procore. If you connected Procore to Breadcrumb before 2026, you may still be on version 2.2.0.

The upgrade is done in Procore. The one thing to watch is that your projects can drop off the integration during the update, so you'll need to add them back straight after.

What's new in v2.3.0

  • Hours sync to closed site diaries: If a Procore site diary has already been closed for the day, Breadcrumb can reopen it to sync visitor, manpower and timecard hours. On v2.2.0, hours logged after a diary is closed don't come through.
  • Two-way supplier sync: Suppliers created in Breadcrumb can be sent to Procore as companies. On v2.2.0, companies only sync from Procore to Breadcrumb.

Do I have to upgrade?

No. Version 2.2.0 keeps working with the features you have today. You'll only need v2.3.0 if you want the features above. We do recommend staying on the latest version.

Why does v2.3.0 ask for more permissions?

To create companies in Procore, Procore requires admin-level access to its Directory tool. When an app is given that access, Procore extends admin access to the app's other tools automatically. Breadcrumb only uses this access for the integration features you've turned on.

Before you start

  • Access: You'll need to be a full Company Admin in Procore.
  • Note your synced projects: In Procore, go to Company Tools > Directory, search for 1breadcrumb-dmsa-786bba23 and click Edit. Take a screenshot of the Current Projects list and the New Project Settings section. You'll use these to check nothing was lost after the update.

Step 1: Update the app in Procore

  1. In Procore, open Select an App in the top right and choose App Management.
  2. Find the Breadcrumb app and click View.
  3. Click Update Available in the top right.
  4. Review the permission changes on the confirmation page, then click Update.

Can't see Update Available? Sign out of Procore and back in, then try again. If it still doesn't appear, contact our Support team before uninstalling anything.

Step 2: Add your projects back

Updating the app can reset which projects the integration has access to. Projects that aren't added back won't sync.

  1. Go to Company Tools > Directory.
  2. Search for 1breadcrumb-dmsa-786bba23 and click Edit.
  3. Compare the Current Projects list with your screenshot.
  4. For any project that's missing, find it in the list of projects this user Does Not Belong To and click Add, or Add All to bring back every project.
  5. If you sync new projects automatically, check that Add "1breadcrumb-dmsa-786bba23" to all new projects is still ticked under New Project Settings.
  6. Click Save.

Important: Don't delete or deactivate the 1breadcrumb-dmsa-786bba23 user. It's what keeps the integration running.

You don't need to set up permission templates for this user on v2.3.0. The app asks for the access it needs during the update.

Step 3: Check the connection in Breadcrumb

  1. On web, go to Integrations and click Check Permissions.
  2. Confirm the version shows as 2.3.0.
  3. Check that each of your synced projects has a paperclip icon next to its name. A missing paperclip means the project hasn't been added back to the 1breadcrumb-dmsa-786bba23 user in Procore.

Green ticks mean everything is connected. A red cross shows which part needs attention.

After you upgrade

Your existing integration settings carry over, and data keeps syncing on the usual schedule. To start using the new features, talk to your Customer Success Manager. They can help you decide whether two-way supplier sync suits the way your team works, and turn on syncing to closed site diaries.

For most teams we still recommend keeping Procore as the primary system for companies, so your directory has one source of truth.

Something not syncing after the upgrade?

  • Is every project you need in the Current Projects list for 1breadcrumb-dmsa-786bba23?
  • Does Check Permissions in Breadcrumb show any red crosses?
  • Did the person who ran the update have full Company Admin access in Procore?

Still stuck? Contact our Support team with the project names that aren't syncing and the time you ran the update, and we'll take a look.
