How do I share a new card with the head contractor?
Sharing an updated qualification or licence card with a site's head contractor.
If you've renewed a licence or earned a new ticket, such as a renewed high-risk work licence or a new EWP ticket, you need to share it with the head contractor so their records are up to date. You do this by updating your site induction in the Breadcrumb app.
Before you start
- Be checked in: You can only update your induction while you're checked in to the site.
- Have the card with you: You'll need to take a clear photo of the front, and the back if it has details on it, plus the card number and expiry date.
Share your new card
- Open the Breadcrumb app and check in to the site.
- Tap Inductions.
- Select your induction for this site and tap Revise.
- Find the question for the licence or card you're updating.
- Upload a photo of your new card and update the card number and expiry date.
- Submit your updated induction.
What happens next
Your updated induction goes to the site team for review. Once they approve it, your new card is on record with the head contractor. Your earlier version is kept in the induction's history.
Good to know
- Working on several sites? Update your induction on each of the head contractor's sites where you work, so every site has your current card.
- Take a clear photo: Make sure the whole card is in frame, in focus and easy to read. A blurry photo may get your induction sent back.
- Card expired and can't check in? Contact the site team. They can tell you what they need and help you get back on site.
