How do I review a plant registration form?

Checking and approving a submitted plant or equipment registration.

When a subcontractor registers plant or equipment for your site, such as an excavator, scissor lift or generator, the registration waits in Approvals until a site host reviews it. Check the details and photos, then approve or reject it.

Before you start

  • Access: You need to be a Company Host or Site Host with permission to approve plant registrations. If you don't have access, contact your Breadcrumb administrator.
  • Host approval: Registrations only wait for review if your plant registration form is set to host approval. If it isn't, registrations are approved automatically.

Review a plant registration on web

  1. Click Approvals in the left-hand menu.
  2. Filter the list to show plant or asset registrations, and search for the item if needed.
  3. Click Review on the registration.
  4. Check the details. Make sure the plant is correctly named, its condition is recorded, and the photo clearly shows the item.
  5. Approve or reject the registration.

Review a plant registration in the mobile app

Reviewing in the app is handy when you're standing next to the plant and can check it in person.

  1. Open the Breadcrumb app and tap Host in the bottom right.
  2. Check you're on the right site. Tap Change Site if you need to switch.
  3. Tap the Approvals tile.
  4. Choose plant or asset registrations from the document type dropdown.
  5. Open the registration, check the details and approve or reject it.

Good to know

  • Check the plant itself: A photo only shows so much. For high-risk plant, check the item on site, including any tags, service records or inspection stickers your site requires, before approving.
  • Registering plant for a subcontractor: If a subcontractor can't register their plant themselves, a host can register it on their behalf.
