How do I report on all historical check-ins?

Pulling a full record of check-in and check-out activity across a chosen date range.

The Attendance register keeps a record of every check-in and check-out across your sites. By default it shows who's on site right now, but you can switch that off to look back over any date range, for example to check who was on site on the day of an incident or to total up hours for a month.

Before you start

  • Access: Company Hosts can see check-ins across all sites. Site Hosts can see check-ins for the sites they host.
  • Web only: the Attendance register is available on web.

View check-ins across all your sites

  1. On web, select Attendance from the main menu.
  2. Turn off the On site filter. It's on by default, so the register only shows people currently on site until you switch it off.
  3. Set the date range you want to look at.
  4. Narrow the list with the other filters if you need to, for example by site or company.

Each row is one visit, so someone who checked in five times appears five times. Each row shows their check-in and check-out times, how they checked in, and their Duration on site. If someone hasn't checked out yet, their duration keeps counting.

Only need one site?

Open the site and go to its Attendance tab. The same filters apply, scoped to that site.

Only need one person?

Click their name to open their worker profile, then go to the Attendance tab. It lists every visit they've made across your sites, with its own date and site filters.

Download check-ins as a file

Downloading straight from the Attendance register isn't available yet. If you need a spreadsheet, for example for payroll or a client report, use the Activity Report instead:

  1. On web, go to Reports > Activity Report.
  2. Set your date range and any filters, such as site or company.
  3. Export the report as a CSV.

Large date ranges can take a little while to generate. If the export doesn't arrive, try a shorter range or contact our Support team.

Someone's missing?

  • Is the On site filter still on? If so, you'll only see people on site right now.
  • Check your date range. Make sure it covers the day they were on site.
  • Did they check in? Only visits recorded in Breadcrumb appear. If someone skipped checking in, there won't be a record.
  • Is it one of your sites? Site Hosts only see check-ins for the sites they host.

Need help? Contact our Support team with the site and the dates you're looking at, and we'll take a look.
