How do I enable my email notifications?

Turning on email alerts in addition to, or instead of, in-app notifications.

If you're not always logged in to Breadcrumb, email notifications make sure you don't miss what's happening on your sites. You can get emails as well as your in-app notifications, or instead of them.

This article shows you how to turn on email notifications as a host.

Before you start

  • You need Company Host or Site Host permissions.
  • You can only change your own notifications, not anyone else's.
  • Your settings apply to all your sites. You can't turn on email notifications for some sites and not others.

1. Check your profile has an email address

Breadcrumb can only email you if your profile has an email address.

On web

  1. Select your name in the top right, then select User Profile.
  2. Check the Email field. Add or update your email address if you need to.
  3. Select Save Changes.

In the mobile app

  1. Tap your profile picture in the top right.
  2. Check the Email field. Add or update your email address if you need to.
  3. Tap Save.

2. Turn on email notifications

The steps are the same on web and in the mobile app.

  1. Select the notification bell in the top right.
  2. Select the cog icon.
  3. Switch from the Profile tab to the Host tab. It shows your company name.
  4. Turn on Email.

Emails instead of in-app notifications

If you only want emails, turn off Enable on the Host tab as well. This stops notifications showing in the bell dropdown, while emails keep coming.
