How do I check-in my plant and equipment?

Checking a registered piece of plant or equipment in for the day.

Once your plant or equipment is registered on a site, you can check it in and out in the Breadcrumb app, just like you check yourself in. This lets the site team see what plant is on site at any time.

Before you start

  • Be checked in: You need to be checked in to the site yourself.
  • Register the plant first: The plant must already be registered on this site under your company. If it isn't, register it first.

Check in your plant

  1. Open the Breadcrumb app and check in to the site.
  2. Tap the Plant tile. You'll see the plant registered on this site for your company.
  3. Search or scroll to find the item, and tap it to open its profile.
  4. Tap the menu (…) in the top right corner.
  5. Tap Check In.

Check out your plant

When the plant leaves site, follow the same steps and tap Check Out.

Good to know

  • Check-in history: Each item's profile shows its check-in history, so you and the site team can see when it was on site.
  • Registration status: If the site team hasn't approved your plant registration yet, the item shows as pending. Talk to the site team if you need it approved before use.
  • Can't see the Plant tile? Not every site uses plant check-in. Ask the site team how they'd like you to record your plant.
