How do I archive an induction or form?
Retiring an induction or form that's no longer in use, without deleting its historical submission records.
When an induction or form is no longer needed, you can take it out of use by making it inactive. In Breadcrumb this is called deactivating. Workers won't see it any more, but it isn't deleted, so you can bring it back at any time.
Records of inductions that have already been completed stay available in the Reports tool.
Before you start
- You need Company Host permissions. To deactivate an induction, you need all permissions. If you don't have these, ask your Breadcrumb administrator.
- You can only do this on web. It isn't available in the mobile app.
Deactivate an induction
- Select Editor in the left-hand menu, then select Inductions.
- Find the induction and select the orange edit icon.
- Under Status, select the green Active switch. It turns yellow to show the induction is inactive.
- Select Update in the bottom left.
Deactivate a form
- Select Editor in the left-hand menu, then select Forms.
- Find the form and select the orange edit icon.
- On the left-hand side, switch Is Active to inactive.
- Select Update.

Inactive inductions and forms are hidden from the list by default. To see them:
- Go to Editor > Inductions or Editor > Forms.

Reactivate an induction or form
- Show inactive items using the Display Mode toggle, as above.
- Find the induction or form and select the orange edit icon.
- Switch it from Inactive back to Active.
- For inductions, choose the approval mode: Automatic or Host Approval.
- Select Update.
