How do I archive a site?

How to close out and archive a site once work is complete.

When work on a site is finished, archive it to take it out of your active Sites list and your reporting. Archiving doesn't delete anything. All of the site's records stay in Breadcrumb, and you can restore the site at any time.

Before you start

You need Company Admin or Company Owner access to archive or restore a site. Site Hosts can't archive sites. If you don't see the option, ask your Breadcrumb account admin.

Close out the site

Before you archive, tidy up anything still open so nothing gets left behind:

  • Attendance: check that everyone has signed out of the site.
  • Approvals: approve or reject any inductions, permits and company docs still waiting on a decision.
  • Permits: close any permits that are still active.
  • Records: download PDFs of any inductions, permits, form submissions or company docs you need for your project handover files.

What happens when a site is archived

  • The site no longer appears in your Sites list when the Active status filter is on.
  • The site is left out of your active reporting.
  • Attendance, inductions, permits, form submissions and company docs for the site are kept.
