How do I archive a company?
Removing a company's access once their work is finished or the relationship ends.
When a subcontractor or supplier has finished their work, or you're no longer working with them, archive their company. This takes them out of your active Companies register so it only shows the companies you're working with now.
Archiving doesn't delete anything. The company's records stay in Breadcrumb, and you can restore the company at any time.
Before you start
- You need Company Host or Site Host permissions with Supplier Management access. If you don't have this, ask your Breadcrumb administrator.
- If the company has only finished work on one site but is still working on others, don't archive them. Remove them from that site instead, so they stay in your company directory.
Archive a company
- Open the Companies register.
- Search or scroll to find the company.
- Select the three-dot menu (⋯) at the end of the company's row.
- Select Archive.
- Confirm when prompted.
The company disappears from your active register straight away.
Find an archived company
Archived companies are hidden by default. To see them, use the Status filter on the Companies register and select Archived.
Search follows whichever filter you have on, so if you're only showing active companies, archived ones won't appear in your search results.
Restore an archived company
- On the Companies register, set the Status filter to Archived.
- Search or scroll to find the company.
- Select the three-dot menu (⋯) at the end of the company's row.
- Select Restore.
- Confirm when prompted.
Using Procore?
Archiving doesn't sync with Procore. If you archive a company in Breadcrumb, it stays active in Procore, and archiving it in Procore won't archive it in Breadcrumb. You'll need to update both.
