How do I add other administrators?

Steps to grant another user full administrator access to your account.

Sharing the admin load means you're not the only one who can set up a new site, update an induction or change a setting when something needs doing. This guide shows you how to give another person full administrator access to your Breadcrumb account.

In Breadcrumb, full administrator access means making someone a Company Host with All Permissions. Company Hosts can see every site and edit inductions, forms, company settings and integration settings.

 

Before you start

  • Your access: You need to be a Company Host yourself to add other administrators. If you can't see the options below, contact your Breadcrumb administrator.
  • Their details: Have the new administrator's mobile number ready. This is how Breadcrumb identifies them.
  • Where to do it: This is done in the web portal. It isn't available in the mobile app.

Not sure if someone needs full access? Site Managers and other site-based staff usually only need Site Host access to the sites they work on. See Explained: Company Hosts v Site Hosts.

 

 

Give an existing user administrator access

If the person is already set up as a Company Host with limited access, you can update them instead of adding them again.

  1. On web, click your name in the top right, then select Permissions.
  2. Open the Company Host tab and find the user.
  3. Select Edit next to their name.
  4. Select All Permissions, or assign a role that has all permissions.
  5. Select Update to save.

 

Using roles instead

If your company manages access with roles, you can create a role with all permissions (for example, "Administrator") and assign it to each new admin. This keeps everyone's access consistent and makes it easier to see who has what. See Assign Role-Based Permissions.
