How do I add a new company to my site?
Assigning an existing company from your directory to a specific site or project.
Once a subcontractor or supplier is in your company directory, you need to assign them to each site they'll work on. This lets their workers be onboarded to that site so they can complete inductions and sign in.
This article shows you how to assign a company from your directory to a site on web and in the mobile app. In Breadcrumb, companies are called Suppliers.
Using Procore? Don't assign companies here. Add the company to the project's Project Directory in Procore and it'll sync across to the matching site in Breadcrumb. See Sync subcontractors to Breadcrumb.
Before you start
- You need Company Host or Site Host permissions, with permission to modify sites. If you don't have these, ask your Breadcrumb administrator.
- The company must already be in your company directory. If it isn't, add it first. See How do I add a new company?
Company not in the list?
In the mobile app, you can add a brand new company and assign it to the site in one go. In the dropdown, select Add new supplier to the site.
Before you do, search the dropdown carefully. If the company is already in your directory under a slightly different name, adding it again creates a duplicate.
