How do I add a new company?

Before a subcontractor or supplier can sign in to your sites, complete inductions or upload competencies, their company needs to exist in your company directory. In Breadcrumb, your company directory is called Suppliers.

This article shows you how to add a new company on web and in the mobile app.

Using Procore? Don't add companies here. Create them in your Procore Company Directory and they'll sync across to Breadcrumb automatically. See Sync subcontractors to Breadcrumb.

Before you start

• You need Company Host or Site Host permissions. If you don't have them, ask your Breadcrumb administrator.
• Have the company's name, email, phone number and main contact name handy. Breadcrumb uses these to fill in onboarding emails automatically, so it becomes helpful later on.

Add a company on web

1. Check the company isn't already there

1. Select Suppliers in the left-hand menu.
2. Use the search bar to look for the company. If it's already listed, you don't need to add it again.

2. Add the new company

1. Select the green Add Supplier button at the top of the page.
2. Enter the company's details:
   • Supplier Name: the company name as you want it to appear across Breadcrumb.
   • Email: used in onboarding emails.
   • Phone: used in onboarding emails.
   • Contact Name: the main contact, used in onboarding emails.
3. Select Add to save.

Add a company in the mobile app

1. Check the company isn't already there

1. Tap the Host panel in the bottom right.
2. Make sure All Sites is selected. If it isn't, tap Change Site and choose All Sites.
3. Tap the Suppliers tile.
4. Use the search bar to look for the company.

2. Add the new company

1. Tap + Add New Supplier to Company.
2. Enter the Supplier Name, Email, Phone and Contact Name.
3. Tap the orange Add button to save.

What's next

Adding a company puts it in your directory, but doesn't give it access to any sites yet. Your next step is to assign the company to a site so their workers can be onboarded and sign in.
